Another adventure in the Continuing Saga series. We’re fixing what somebody else started and we had a problem here with the floor breaking through. So they put in a piece some of the wood they needed to do. We’re going to end up putting wood across the ends so it won’t move in between there. But while we were here, she asked me if I could raise the ductwork up a little bit.

So it wouldn’t be close to the ground, which is this house gets water underneath it. And then she asked me, could I swap the stove over to where the refrigerator was? And that means moving water line for the refrigerator over here. So we had to shut the water off and we’re going to drill a hole through the floor and put in water line over here.

But most importantly, I’m not going to pay the most attention to is moving the gas over to there and we got all the parts for it. And then we’re dealing with puddles of water underneath. So here we are and maybe we’ll take you with a GoPro like camera underneath with the young guys. I am have a hard time watching a lot and handing tools, but I have to let these guys grow in skill level or else they will have not learned anything while working with me, but seeing that it can be done.

But when they do it, they know it can be done. So that’s why I have to sit back be paitent. Like no, do it this way. Anyway, that’s what we’re doing.

Think about it, you got more light now you get one of those lights. We’ve got work lamps. I it’ll be nice for when we get to the gas. Oh, am I in your way?

Depends where am I, which one of these did he say it was? This one that I’m following this. This one, if you. I would follow this one. This one? Ok, good job. And this back here. Yeah. All right. Or on the other side of the bay. Or on this… This side. Ok that’s all I needed to know is which side I’m going in. Now, you can see, where’s the lowest point. Again, I just have a problem.

I don’t really mind it. Usually, I don’t mind it when it’s not wet. When it’s wet I’m kind of ehh about it. But. Yeah. Trying not to hit you. You’re good. I’m cut this thing over and now. Nice thing about this one’s once the blue light goes you’re crimped. That’s why I dug through until I found the right one. Ok, and he said this bay here.

No, over one. This bay here. Over one. Yeah. Right there. OK, so, I’m going to need a 90, What are you doing way over here? What? Why are you right there? You’re supposed to be heading toward the… That’s what he’s doing right now. I’m right here. Oh, Okay. I’m 90ing at this point right here. Why are you 90ing? Why don’t you just go at an angle? Something in the way? Cinder block cinder blocks all over. It’s the only reason I went with a 90.

So I was going to just try and bend it around. Did you not find the light? No, she gave me that one. Wow, it’s bright. Oh, yeah. I imagine whenever I turned it on and was staring at it. I can imagine, because I just glanced over, and it about blinded me. It’s still is… It’s bright. But it takes a getting used to it. A little bit more comfortable be brought up so that’ll be good right there.

You know how far I need to go that way. Yeah, I remember. How far? Yeah. What are you talking about? Um. It’s about two foot from here. I’ll go stand by that wall. How about that? Let me get out of this. you and there. No, no, we didn’t have any water leaks. wall over there. Oh, I need to put Rainx on my glasses again.

What’s that. I got to put rainx on my glasses again. They’re starting to get to the point where their fogging up. Yeah. All right. I think so. Keep coming. Well, that’s great. That ain’t holding anything. Yeah, Several. His glasses are fogging up, that’s what the problem is. so he’s been taking my notes to keep your shirt on. So you where it needs to be? Yeah. When you get 30, if you can pass me that cutter, I can cut it to.

I’ll cut right to put it right next to the gas line where it is and go up to that existing hole or. I should ask you where the gas line of that. Where you going? Up where you’re at is in the wall. Well, we can go to right here where the wall isn’t. Right is where the. This is the wall.

That’s not the wall. So, hold on. Let me figure out what he wants to do. 58. Yeah. And covering like 90. Yeah. All right, June. all of you, look at me. I’m going to be 59 in June. Yeah. Oh, me. Know where I’m going now. So you want it to the existing hole in the wall? No. You want to go up, right. Well we’re going to make a hole through the floor.

Don’t go up right next to it. Do you want to come up here and just go and do that? Yeah, that’ll make it easier. I want to head to the right now. Just kind of softly get in the area. Do… I’m going to record you going Dooo. All right, so with that, we’re going to take the stove and move it.

Yeah, the furniture. I hope I’m going to empty them right here. Oh, that. We’re going to make a hole up here to. I’ve got a way to direct No, I don’t think so. So that’s possible. We’ll see because the line is right there. Yeah, we’ll get we’ll be taken that apart shortly. I’ll be able to answer you on that.

What we will have to do whenever we get over here, is we’ll have to move that cabinet over so that your range will be over your stove. Let me try. The third tile over. And you can be where the glasses. If somebody wants safety glasses, do the glasses for you and I’ll have nothing in your eyes. I just have trouble in the back area.

Well, I’ll knock out the grout so you don’t drill the bin. That’s what you can do, right? I don’t know where you’re at. I’m on the third tile, So the first thing you do is take the gas line loose from the stove and move the stove out of your way. I really. You got that young professional look there. Oh, now.

OSHA well be slighted. I’ll report to OSHA that you did a good job. Yeah. We have channel locks here. Yes, Right there. By your feet. If it had been a snake it would have bit you. Well, he had to bite me in the right spot because if he bit me on the toe it would have just hurt his teeth. Now, take it loose from over there.

I saw this lady on Tick Tock And the back door to her house and there’s 30 raccoons. All right, there. Holy cow. She goes oh they’re pets. Like a pet. Only just pet one, you know, bite you. And she pets one the other one bites her. They’re not very friendly. They can. We used to have a big coon, thirty pounds. Took a while to catch and kill him I guess he’s caught when he’s dead. But used to race hound dogs redbone and blue tick.

We had a long puppy’s thinking of my dad’s ideas and getting enough money to survive. Well, they all chase after the coon and the coon’d take them out into the middle of the creek. So those puppies will get out there to get him to get on top of them and hold on. Drown them. So just about every time they went after the coon or the Bobcats we’d lose a dog. You know what Phil I have on some birds, but I have cucaracha’s.

Yeah, I do too. I had I have used this paste that works the best. Paste? Yeah. There’s like a we squeeze it out of a hypodermic looking thing and it killed the eat it and it takes it to the other ones when they died. The other ones eat them and it kills them and it takes about ten days to work really good but it cleans them out for a while. Where you buy that? I think you can buy it at Lowes. You can buy it at Lowe’s. I think so.

So I mean the clocking gives out. Ya the stuff that’s paste works best. Yeah, I never had before. The lady moves in the house. Yeah, she was living in there and then she moved and then I think the came from her and I started having them. I think so. Well, they. They are like fleas. They have a lot of eggs. And I don’t see for a little while.

And this is coming again. Yeah, that paste works best. I usually ordered online. It’s like $25, but it’ll last for almost a year. Oh, then you the back with all my stuff. There you go. Are we on the opposite one. You’re going around here actually. But I think you were putting a lot of pressure on the pipe wrench instead of the… You need to get another pipe wrench. out that one. You got a big enough one?

I can get a bigger one there. But this and the you go, well, we do all the sound effects for our old movies. I can’t fix. I have a whole it’s important. 30,000. No, I’m giving it away. You know, I need for something. You know, I’m looking for bookshelves now. Bookshelves? I’m probably going to make some. It looks like it went to a higher level because you move around.

That’s right. But I’m going to go to the yourself to see if I can find like, of course they’re coming in. Yeah. You need a pantry. I need a pantry. You know, you plug them with the bunch right there. Yeah, we have one. I see. Lawson’s like 244. That’s not terrible. That’s not terrible. But you could probably look for a unit at

That’s Restore. Habitat Restores. Habitat for Humanity. Restore? Yeah. You can look on the phone. Well, yeah. Used to be on J Street. Yeah, but I have to go with maybe turn it so she can walk through there. And if I go, I can report. I think I’ll chisel, drill. I mean, I don’t think you can come up.

No. So what you do is you take and you chisel out an area in that grout which is plenty wide right there. Yeah. And then that’s carpet break out that grout and then drill through another half inch. But the grout might be a little bit more and a half inch. Those grout. Yeah, but you don’t want to use a bit on cement. I’ll end up doing I got to spray water on it. No, it just dulls it out. You not have one very long.

Hey guys, I guess you’re going to not see everything that we had to go through to get this done. But we are putting it together, stitching the wood together. So go there you go. I’m back.

Well, we have another little project job. They want this cabinet to be centered over this stove. This cabinet, this cabinet is 36 inches, stove is 30. So what I’ve done in order to center the cabinet, I made a mark for the center of the cabinet over there, and I made a mark for the center of the stove right here. And then I’m mark for the layout of the studs.

This will be a stud right here, where they fashioned two pieces, grew and measured 16 and that will be another. So, I’ll be able to get at least two screws in there. As you can tell, they were pretty far out of level. This is a four foot level and we’re going to drop it down so that we’re even at the top of those cabinets instead of having a jog.

And then we’ve got to run a a wire up in here about two and a quarter inches above and then go through the back and come in here to feed this. So that’s what we’re up to.

This has a screw right here that takes this cover you notice this is a little tab. So once you take a screw off, they’ll be able to get where the wire goes into this.

And we’re probably going to try to go through that back instead of going through the cabinet. If we can cut drywall and stuff like that and go overtopping and put this over top of it and connect to the hot there and the neutral there, kind of ground on the left, then we’ve got to get a bulb. Yeah. And put out the screws.

I’m not sure this, but for a minor. Yeah. They want us watching Mount right here onto the cabinets and, and slide it on. So we’ll take you through it. Yeah.

The screws aren’t going to be in the same place. This line right here, the center of this cabinet go right there. And stay on that line. That’s I’ll just leave those in there because I got to fill the hole in it.

All three ensure that, yeah. You can let go of that. about it and we’re well right there. Inch and a half. And no that won’t be long enough. I’m hoping that when we come back we’re going to grab for you. No, no, no, no. But I did. We checked everything we’re going to I’m going to put some sealant on that one in the middle of the wall just to make sure, but we checked everything several times.

So it’s good to be alert, good to be worried. And then I went asleep and I went, everybody, I have all my young kids in here and I was dying because everybody was dying because the gas. Yeah, well, we just got to working on a house over in Springdale. It had holes… Just put it in here. Nothing there. Had anything. You got to cabinet it maybe on two foot centers? I mean I don’t have a and the joist is are real far apart. Real far more than joists are.

So maybe the frame is to we shall see shortly. Yeah. Two foot centers. Another one I think I missed on that. Well, it looks really close like. It hit here. Ok, I need another screw or two. It ain’t going nowhere. I don’t have one here. I heard about that. Huh? That is solid.

Right now. Five and a quarter. We’re measuring the depth here, but the hole needs to be right there. About five and a quarter hooks, three quarters an inch down. And how much? How far? You’re going to be measure, so you need to find the center. And 15 and 29 and three-quarter. So, no pencil, no lines. I got one of them somewhere around here. My goodness, I have three on me and Mark, find your center where you and then go back to it.

And you know what? I can calculate half of 29 and 3/4 I can’t. It’s a quarter inch less than 15. So that will be 14 and 3/4 seven and three quarters over from the center, three quarters down. Okay. Oh, the ground. So the elastic, they kind of from there and my son-in-law Brown. Three quarters. That’s what we’ve got to get to of.

But now, this center over here, this is the end of the cabinet, of the hood vent. So, ya, we’ll have to open up go over here and then I’ll have to cut a hole with a keyhole saw there and in reality we could. She’s going to need, we got a keyhole. So there’s a side of the stud here the keyhole saw up here so you get your little hand in that layer and take a bigger hole. Now we have drill over and we have a hole up here that we’re going to cut out. And then push it through. for us.

So far we’ve done a lot of work and didn’t have the camera going, so apologize. But to drill a hole through the two by here fished it up into this area. We had a hole up in here, where we could get our hand up in and then fished it over to here, which is where the junction box is.

So all that is all those holes are covered up by this area. And this one, we put a piece of plywood in there, a piece of wood, and then screwed it off so that we can finish that out or they can let it come. You want to do as much as I can do to save money. So the wiring is the covering back on the wires in there, lights on, fans on.

And we just got to clean up the dust. Not that there’s that project. We’re on to another project next, great big adventure.

We have a little bit of a dilemma, but they want to move this cabinet that’s here, here. So that sits right on top of a vent, which I would lay you odds. This used to be the hallway, but anyway, I don’t care.

So we’re going to cover that vent. What we’re going to do is build a box around it and have a vent in the front of the cabinet, which we got the cabinet over here, and we’re going to cut the little skinny vent in and build a box in here for the air to blow out to the main house, to the vent on the front and not be trapped underneath the cabinet and not have any heat in the kitchen.

So what I’ve done is measured from since it’s all going to be up against. I measure from the stove and a 17 and a half and won’t run on the floor, 17 and a half and 30 and five and a half inches over. I’ll literally pull that vent cover off and I’ll put a different vent cover right here.

So right now I’m I said 17 and a half and 30, so so we’ll have to build a frame in here so that probably what we’ll do is put a two by and screw it together on the backside, maybe at five and a half inches, which would be from the backside here and that’ll be the front side of our two by. This thing is pretty rotted.

And this thing’s been wet. We’ll put screws through here to hold it in place on the two by all the way across. So now, I’m able to run a two by in between here so it’ll be sitting flat on the floor and then I’ll have the vent hole cut in here and it will blow then theoretically out, which I know will. And then I’ll be able to put the cabinet against the wall. That’s what we’re doing next.

So I keep catching myself, we roll so fast that we don’t take you along with us. But anyway, we marked up the sides of the vent that we’re going to put in there, or we mark the corners. He’s drilling out with a paddle bit, which you can use pretty much anything that you can get a jigsaw bit into or a blade into, and then we’ll cut all this out.

He was saying, you can use a Sawzall. You can, but it shakes the cabinet pretty rough. There you go. He’s got it in the corners like that. You can go either direction. You.

Right now, we’re trying to put in an enclosure and uh, this doesn’t have to look pretty inside there. We just needed to flow air and family’s. That didn’t hold either. Fastening everything and then we’ll just put some silicone around it just to keep it kind of air tight, getting back. It is second here and the sun is now fitting all. Here, right here. I don’t need you. All right, fine. I was just trying to be helpful man.

Now going to put this over. I may just go ahead and fasten it to the wall. It’s got a long three inch screw right through there. I can see there’s. Probably the only cabinet in this house that is sturdy. Incase the next stove is an eighth inch bigger.

Yeah. Nothing there? Nothing. Um, going to move that over here. Leave that one there. That’s good. This whole cabinet is about to fall apart? It’s been wet so many times. Okay, let’s get that top over there. OK. That’s way bigger than the cabinet itself. Yeah, that’s what it was over here. But they’re going to be happy cause she’s got it right next to her stove instead of stove being over here where the refrigerator was. Anyway, now we just got to put this little vent. We need to set it where it’ll point upwards ideally, so that you do that, that and put one inside it. Sure, you’re going to come in. It’s all above and beyond really what I should be doing. And there it is so that’s where the vents going to be coming out. Of course, you need to tilt it a little bit. that one single time.

Maybe the door is out of whack. up the last that’s like you’re doing it twice. That’s okay. I need practice that’s on the door. It’s the track. Na, it’s the door right next And she was like worried that hemp oil was illegal, but she definitely found out she shouldn’t cook food in and then gave it to the kids. Cause they get real happy.

She didn’t know that it wasn’t regular oil. Hemp oil is probably good for you if you’re dealing with cancer like her, but not necessarily anything else. Let’s put the microwave right there and then we’ll all got.
